A rare recreation of a treasured Fender icon! This wonderful '57 Reissue Fender Stratocaster is a rare edition made by Fender in the late 80s.  This guitar was sold to me as a 1989, but recent research indicates it could have been made anytime between 1987 and 1989.  Regardless of year of manufacture, this is a rare specimen from a very limited run! This Mary Kaye is in immaculate condition.  There is some finish checking that can be seen in the pics ... some slight cracks in the nitro-cellulose finish that is very common both in these models and in the vintage originals they're meant to emulate.  It has a very thin neck, as do all of the 57 reissues, and the neck does have a slight bow, although not dramatic.  It's completely playable with the 9 gauge strings I have on it now.  I have not had it set up since I've had it.  I'm including all the original materials that I received with this baby, including all the original case candy, hang tags, Fender's vintage leather strap, and vintage cord.
